March 20, 1939 - November 11, 2012

The family of Levern (Vern) Kenneth Smith regretfully announces his passing on Sunday November 11, 2012. Vern late of Kingston son of the late Arthur and Ethel Smith formerly of Fustic Grove St. Elizabeth died after a brief illness at the hospital. He leaves to mourn his children Michael Smith, Sharon-Kaye Hector, Dr. Suzanne Smith Connell, Roger Smith, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, sister; Merle, nephew Everton and his wife Patricia, sons-in-law; Gerald, Hector and Dr. Kwame Connell, many nieces, nephews, relatives and a large extended family of very close friends. He was the former President and owner of Grove Industries Ltd., and a former associate at Consolidated Merchants Ltd., and T. Geddes Grant Ltd. He was preceded in death by his wife; Norma Elaine Smith in November 1993. Funeral service will be held on Saturday November 24, 2012 at The Church of The Transfiguration On
