BLAKE - Bernard Barrington (Col.): Age 65 years. Died in DeSoto, Texas on September 25. A Memorial Service for the late Col. Bernard Blake will be held at the Garrison Church of the Ascension Up Park Camp on Friday 02 Nov. at 2:00pm. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Gillian (nee Verity) sons; Martin, Michael, Andrew and Steven, daughters-in-law Kelly and Keashia, grandchildren, brother and sisters, relatives and friends.

I knew Colonel Blake well. In fact, we served in the JDF during the same period of time. He was a capable and popular subaltern officer in Bravo Company, First Battalion Jamaica Regiment.
