In loving memory ofAlrick George Brown (Peter)
BROWN - Alrick "Peter" George, 37, of Windsor, CT, USA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, (July 21, 2012) surrounded by his family at St. Francis Hospital. Born in St. Ann, Jamaica, W.I. on August 10, 1974, son of Dewit Allman Brown of Alexandria, St. Ann, Jamaica and Libeitha Simms of Windsor, CT he had lived in Jamaica before moving to Windsor, CT to be closer to his family 12 years ago. Alrick owned and operated Alrick's Lawn Care since 2004 in the Hartford, CT area, and he was well known for his meticulous work and attention to detail. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing dominoes, bowling, gardening around his home, and helping his family and friends. Most of all, Alrick will be remembered as a loving and caring person who was very charitable and always willing to help anyone. He was an active member of Rehoboth Church of God in Bloomfield, CT. Besides his parents, he leaves three brothers, Tony Brown of Atlanta, GA, Anthony Smith and his wife Niokioh of Windsor, CT, Courtney Dunn of Windsor, CT, and Trevor Brown of Jamaica; five sisters, Jacqueline Alexander and her husband Kirlew of Windsor, CT, Ann-Marie Brown of Windsor, CT, Veronica Smith of Windsor, CT, Audrey Powell and her husband Ricardo of East Hartford, CT, and Antonette Bailey of East Hartford, CT; a dear friend, Sandra Rhoomes of Bloomfield, CT; 16 nieces and nephews; and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. A Homegoing Service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, August 4, 10 a.m., at the Rehoboth Church of God, 1170 Blue Hills Ave., Bloomfield, CT. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT. His family will receive friends on Friday, August 3, 6-9 p.m., at the Rehoboth Church of God, and on Saturday, August 4, 8-9 a.m., prior to the service at the Rehoboth Church of God. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to Rehoboth Church of God, Building Fund, 1170 Blue Hills Ave., Bloomfield, CT 06002.
