In loving memory ofDr. Richard W Olmsted

OLMSTED - Dr. Richard W.: Age - 92 years; June 27, 1920 to March 08, 2013. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing away of Dr. Richard "Dick" Olmsted. Dr. Olmsted leaves behind his childhood sweetheart and wife of 69 years, Barbara "Bobbie" Andrews Olmsted; four children, Jill, Deke, John and Tim; (a son, Peter, died in infancy in 1952); four grandchildren; and three precious great-grandchildren. Dr Olmsted was a former Professor of Child Health (Pediatrics) at the University of the West Indies and Child Psychiatrist at the Jamaican Ministry of Health. A celebration in honour of his life is being held on Thursday, April 18, 2013, beginning at 4 pm in the Chapel, University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Jamaica. (Phone contact - 977 6637).
